Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This policy explains what this site collects when you visit, why it collects it, and what you can do about it. It’s written for a site that reviews online casinos for Australian readers. We don’t run a casino, we don’t take bets, and we never hold your gambling account details.
Who Runs This Site
The site is run by its editorial team, based in Australia. Questions about anything on this page go through the contact form.
We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles. Visitors from the EU and UK are covered by the same practices, and where GDPR gives you a stronger right, we apply the stronger one.
What We Collect
| Data | How it reaches us | Why |
|---|---|---|
| IP address, browser, device type, operating system | Automatically, in server logs | Security, spam filtering, working out whether a page renders properly on your device |
| Pages viewed, time on page, referring site | Analytics cookies | Knowing which reviews people actually read |
| Approximate location, city level | Analytics and server logs | Showing the right market’s content, AU pages to AU readers |
| Email address and name | Only if you type them into a contact form | Answering you |
| Outbound clicks on operator links | Affiliate tracking | Working out which reviews send traffic, and getting paid for it |
We don’t collect your date of birth, your payment details, your casino balance or your identity documents. If a page ever asks you for those, it isn’t ours.
Cookies
| Type | What it does | Can you refuse it |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps the site working, remembers your cookie choice | No, the site breaks without them |
| Analytics | Counts visits and measures which pages work | Yes, through the banner or your browser |
| Affiliate | Tags an outbound click so the operator knows it came from us | Yes, by blocking third-party cookies |
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all keep the setting under privacy. Block analytics cookies and nothing on this site stops working, you just become invisible in our traffic reports.
Affiliate Links and What Happens When You Click
Most operator links here are affiliate links. Clicking one takes you off this site and onto the operator’s own domain, where their privacy policy applies instead of ours, and a tracking cookie identifies the click as ours.
We don’t receive your name, your email, your deposit amount or any account detail from the operator. What we see is aggregate: clicks, registrations, and whether a commission is owed. Read the operator’s privacy policy before you register, because from the moment you land on their page they’re the ones holding your data.
Third Parties We Use
| Service | What it sees | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Anonymised traffic data | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Hosting and CDN provider | Server logs, IP addresses | Available from the provider on request |
| Affiliate networks | Outbound click data, no personal identifiers from us | Published on each network’s site |
We don’t sell personal information. We don’t trade mailing lists. Nobody gets your email address because they paid for it.
How Long We Keep Things
Server logs roll off after 90 days. Analytics data is retained for 26 months and then deleted automatically. Contact form messages are kept while the conversation is open and for 12 months after, in case you come back about the same thing.
Your Rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Send the request through the contact form and we’ll respond within 30 days, which is the timeframe the Australian Privacy Principles set.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle a request, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. They’re at oaic.gov.au and on 1300 363 992, and a complaint to them costs you nothing.
If you subscribe to anything on this site, the Spam Act 2003 applies: we identify ourselves, we only send what you signed up for, and every message carries a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe and you’re off the list, not moved to another one.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Access to anything we store is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and anyone claiming otherwise is selling something, but there’s very little here worth stealing because we hold so little.
Under 18s
This site is for adults. Gambling content is restricted to people aged 18 and over under Australian law, and we don’t knowingly collect anything from a minor. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us through the contact form and it gets deleted.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes get a notice on the site for 30 days. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated version.
